We are on the right after the first garage.
From King Street: Head left toward TGI Fridays and continue around the right to the back of the building. From N Beauregard Street: Turn into the parking lot near TGI Fridays and continue straight to the back of the building.
Please park at the REAR of 4700 King St, in the Summit Centre Parking Garage. Plan to arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled class time in order to limit the number of people inside the gym. There is ample surface lot parking outside of the main doors of the gym, as well as covered parking in the garage. Please do not park in spaces reserved for INOVA or other offices. If you park in front of the building, you may use the elevators to come down to the Lower Level.
Masks are required for everyone entering the gym. Please bring a reusable water bottle labeled with the child's name. Participants should wear comfortable, fitted clothing without zippers or buckles. Long hair should be pulled back from the face. Shoes and socks should be removed prior to coming onto the gym floor.
In order to limit the number of individuals inside the gym, Coaches will open the doors 5 minutes prior to class.

Once class is finished, please exit the gym promptly to allow adequate time for cleaning. You are welcome to remain out front or in the lobby upstairs to enjoy conversations with new friends!
Adults must wear masks the entire time we are indoors. Children will be asked to wear masks the entire time we are indoors, unless engaged in high-intensity activity and a minimum 6 ft. from other participants.
· Children under 5 require caregiver supervision for the duration of class. Caregivers will assist with social distancing and mask usage, as needed. We do allow siblings to attend classes, but they must remain with the caregiver at all times, unless enrolled in a class.
· We require caregivers of children under to 9 remain in the immediate area. Caregivers may stay inside the gym during class, use the upstairs lobby area, or visit one of the nearby shops (Target, Harris Teeter, Dunkin, Dominos and Potbelly all within .5 mile.) COMING SOON: Outdoor pergola and bench seating.
· For children 9 and up, please notify your teacher if you plan to leave the immediate area, and confirm emergency contact information prior to class. If you plan to have another caregiver pick up, please make sure your child knows who is taking them home.
All instructors are CPR/First Aid certified, SafeSport trained and background checked. Many hold certifications from USA Gymnastics, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and National Academy of Sports Medicine. While all activities come with inherent risk, we train children how to listen to their bodies and asses situations before performing every task. Our coaches perform safety checks on equipment daily, provide soft landing mats, and work diligently to provide a safe environment for children to be physically active.
In addition to limiting the number of participants in each class, we have implemented strict policies and procedures to keep everyone safe.
MASKS: All participants, caregivers and siblings aged 2+ will be required to wear masks while indoors. Children participating in cardio or high-intensity exercising will be permitted to remove masks while in their designated area to allow adequate breathing. Masks will be worn when using shared stations. Coaches and caregivers are required to wear masks while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
TEMPERATURE CHECKS: Anyone entering the facility will have their temperature checked upon arrival. Individuals with elevated temperatures will not be allowed to attend class. .
AIR FLOW: We have installed two Coway Airmega air purifiers in the gym that recycle air at the rate of 2x/hour with industry-grade HEPA filters.
SANITATION: All participants will be asked to wash hands upon arrival, and as needed during class. We sanitize any shared equipment between classes. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe!
VACCINATIONS: All coaches over 12 are fully-vaccinated.
Please keep sick children home. We do not offer refunds or guarantee make-up sessions for missed classes, but do our best to accommodate families as programming allows. Exceptions will be made for participants who test positive for COVID-19 or are required to quarantine (documentation required.)
Classes must meet minimum enrollment numbers in order to be held. If we do not meet class minimums, we will do our best to reschedule you for another class. Classes canceled due to low enrollment will not be deducted from your account.
We do not guarantee make-up classes due to inclement weather or instructor illness, but do our best to offer equitable solutions.
We know life happens, so families may cancel enrollment for a class up to 48 hours prior, and reschedule during another open class time. In order to continue to offer our flexible scheduling option, cancelations less than 48 hours prior to a class are not eligible for credit or rescheduling. Exceptions will be made for participants who test positive for COVID-19 or are required to quarantine (documentation required.) emPOWER Kids Annual Members may cancel classes at any time without deductions.
