Join us for emPOWER kids All-Stars Camp!

Each day of summer camp will include all the traditional camp experiences of cooperative games, craft projects, and outdoor play, PLUS gymnastics, ninja, mindfulness, social emotional learning, STEAM activities and NEW for 2024 - SPORTS Play!!

Campers must be 5-years-old by June 1st in order to attend.

If your child will turn 5 between February 1st and June 1st, please email Coaches@emPOWER-kids.com to be manually registered for camp.

emPOWER kids is committed to ensuring a safe and positive environment for children to thrive. We put our core values of community, individuality and play into every camp experience. Feel confident your child is building physical, mental and social emotional skills, while making those ever important connections with peers and role models.

We are dedicated to providing a successful camp experience for ALL children, therefore we require notification of any modifications or accommodations during enrollment to ensure adequate planning time.

Themes: Adeventures in Artland, Ninjas by Nature, Magic Makers, Flipping Farmers, Animal House, Time Travelers, Silly Science , Outer Space Adventures, Globetrotters, Peaceful Pirates

Trips & Visitors: Torpedo Factory, Dora Kelly Nature Center, Old Town Pool, Chinquapin Pool, Apothecary Museum, Oxon Hill Farm, Animal Shelter tour, KidCreate Art, Roots N Shoots, Fort Ward Park, Music Man Mr. B, Archaeology Museum, Jones Point Park, and more to come!

Please note, Weekly Themes & Trips & Special Visitors are subject to change, and not listed in any particular order! Transportation will be provided by private charter bus or DASH System.

Sample Schedule

8:30 am - 9 am: Drop-Off

9:00 am - 9:15 am: Welcome Activities

9:15 am - 10 :15 am: Gym Time (Tumbling, Ninja, FUNctional Fitness)

10:15 am - 10:45 am: Snack Break

10:45 am - 11:30 am: Free Play

11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Craft/STEM Activities and SPORTS Play

12:30 pm - 1 pm: Lunch

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Kids Choice - Gym Time or SPORTS Play

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Craft/STEM Activities and Cooperative Games

OR 11:00 - 3:00pm Special Visitors or Trips (TBD weekly)

3:00 pm - 3:30 pm: Snack Break

3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Chill Time & Pick-Up

Registration details and fees

All Stars Camp is for Elementary-Aged children 5 years and up.

Rising middle schoolers (age 11-13) may apply to be considered for limited junior volunteer positions, and attend camp at a discounted rate. Prior camp/class attendance is required. (Application coming soon)

Camp drop-off and pick-up will be in the emPOWER Gym (5th Floor)

Registration Fee: $450/week ($360 for Week 3). 10% Sibling Discount when booked together.

Early Bird Special! Book 2 or more weeks of camp before April 30th and receive Drop-In Passes for number of weeks booked (2 weeks = 2 Drop-In Passes.) Each pass is valued at $25 and must be used prior to Summer 2024 Session.

SUMMER CAMP POLICIES

Cancelations

Prior to April 30th, cancelations are eligible for account credit, minus administrative fee*. After April 30th, cancelations are eligible for account credit, minus administration fee*, IF the camp has a waitlist and the space can be filled by another participant at the time of cancelation.

Transfers

Families needing to transfer from one week to another week prior to April 30th may do so one time at no charge, subject to camp availability. Additional transfers, or transfers made after April 30th, will be subject to administration fee*. Spots are transferrable weekly, not day by day.

Unforeseen Circumstances

Account Credits or Refunds may be granted for medical or emergency circumstances only. Documentation of circumstance must be provided with refund request. Additional documentation may be requested by emPOWER kids. Partial or full refunds for medical or emergency circumstances will be at the discretion of emPOWER kids.

Administrative Fee

* Any changes, including cancellations and reschedules, will be subject to a $100 administrative fee.

Dependent Care Reimbursement Records

Please keep your registration receipt for your records and for tax purposes.
